This site exists to support the web design work I do on a freelance basis. I did this exclusively for several years. Now, due to a most welcome shift in priorities (Henry 4, Ingrid 1), I do it on the margins and only take on a few projects per year.

Please see this page for samples of my work. There, you'll find a brief description of each project—basically, what the client was hoping to accomplish via their website— and judge for yourself whether or not we were successful.

As a general overview of what you're getting into when you decide you want a website, I mention this: creating a website is a process. No matter who you choose to work with, be it a freelancer or a full-service agency, it's a process you'll be going through with any number of the following components:

In addition to web design, I also parent, paint and write— and all that makes web design very important to me, as it pays for all the really hard work.
